Terms and Conditions
The following terms are set
forth for by Righteous Insanity Theater Company in regards to the use if its
Writing Service:
1. The purchaser of the commissioned work will pay a
one-time writing fee to Righteous Insanity. No performance royalties will be
due to Righteous Insanity from the purchaser of the work unless the work is
produced in a for-profit production.
2. The purchaser is entitled to make unlimited copies of
the work for use by their group, theater, or ministry only. They may not
repackage, publish, or resell the work to other groups or organizations without
the expressed written permission of Righteous Insanity.
3. The purchaser is permitted to make cuts, additions,
revisions, or edits to the work in order to tailor the play to their group's
specific needs or limitations. The purchaser may also request that Righteous
Insanity make revisions or modifications to the script at no extra charge.
4. Payment for ORIGINAL material written by Righteous
Insanity will be payable upon delivery and acceptance of the completed material
unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties. Righteous Insanity agrees to make
any revisions or changes requested by the purchaser before accepting payment.
5. In the case of ADAPTATIONS, if the purchaser chooses
not to use the material written by Righteous Insanity, a fee equal to 75% of
the agreed upon writer's fee will still be due to Righteous Insanity for time
and labor spent on the new material.
6. The purchaser is entitled to perform the work an
unlimited number of times in the work of their non-profit ministry. No
performance royalties are to be paid to Righteous Insanity unless the work is
performed in a for-profit theater or setting.
7. The purchaser may take photos or videos of the
performances by their group of the work. They may not resell the videos or
photos to make a profit without the expressed, written permission of Righteous
Insanity.
8. Righteous Insanity retains all ownership rights
pertaining to the produced work unless otherwise agreed upon by Righteous
Insanity and the purchaser. Righteous Insanity reserves the right to rewrite,
publish, performs, produce, market, and sell the work in various forms and at
various prices.
9. Works produced through the Righteous Insanity are not
considered to be "works for hire." Therefore, the purchaser of the
work is entitled to no further compensation or profits should the work be
republished, produced, or sold by Righteous Insanity.
